We are proud and pleased to announce the addition of the new section to the website titled, “Wise Words From The GodFather”, A Lon Porteous outlet

We all know Sacramento flatland pioneer Lon Porteous, whether it be personally, through him creating and running flatland’s largest and longest running competition “Sac Skimfest” or through “Blister Productions”, which Lon runs and through which he produced the groundbreaking DVD “Nothing Is Cool”. Or maybe through the countless, some-would-say historic, photos and stories of the flatland roots he has shared via the internet.

I’ve had the privilege to not only skim with Lon for the last seven or so years (sorry some of them are a little blurry) but also have been privileged to call him a good friend. Lon does countless things for the sport, many of which are under the radar and that is why we at ISM love the guy, and you should too.

“Wise Words From The GodFather” will be a section on the website where Lon has free range to post interviews, articles, bitch-fit’s, hot girls, videos, random thoughts and more…. You name it; he can post it.

We look forward to bringing you more sections like this in the future, so stay tuned and keep clicking.

-Brian K.

In the first installment of WWFGF, Lon writes about his recent trip to

Coos Bay, OR to stay with skimboarding legend, Jim Gordon.
