Thank you for all the users that have joined and those that have given feedback. We are constantly working to further the experience on the website and to make it easier for you to connect with skimboarders from around the globe!

In the following text, we have written out how to join the network, update your profile, add photos and post a status update.

Signing up: Step One, visit our Social Network page by clicking here.

                   Step Two, On the right side of the screen, you will see two options to sign up. OPTION 1: Login using your facebook profile. (easiest way)

OPTION 2: Right under the facebook login icon, you will see an area to enter your username / password; next to “password” click “register”. Follow instructions from there and you will be signed up!

Updating Profile: After signing up, you will see your user profile(panel) area, with a list of options, including “profile details” and “profile photo” among others. Click on “profile details” to enter your location, age, etc.. Click on “profile photo” to upload your profile image.

Update Status: From the user panel, click “all activity”. Here you can see all user’s status updates, photos uploaded and other activitiy. To update your status click the “what’s up?” box located just above the news feed, enter your text/links and hit enter!

Now you have successfully created a user profile, uploaded a profile image and posted a status update!

Here is a list of some of the functions our ISM Social Network offers and what you can do with them.

User Profiles: Create your own profile; update your information, add photos, friends and update your status!

Instant Message: You can chat instantly with riders from around the globe as well as connect and play games like; pool, chess, dominos, poker, monsters vs. marines and over 15 more!

Forum: The all new forum allows you to post topics and comments, vote up or down other users comments and sell your used gear. Users also can raise their ranking in the forum by interacting more (posting more, commenting on others posts)

User Groups: Want to represent a specific skim scene or team? Create and add users to a specific group easily after creating a profile.

The biggest, in our eyes, being the “dimple bottom” (a.k.a the golf ball bottom or zipper base, because of the zip sound it makes.)

“With a NEW Dimple bottom base this board minimizes resistance when sliding over wet sand banks and PVC piping.” -DB Skimboards Website

The first boards we witnessed with these we’re the Custom Roush Creations boards the Matt Ratoni, Mike Louie and Brent Lippincott we’re rocking back in 08′. The idea is that water is displaced/dispersed better having the indentations on the bottom.

We have yet to see or ride them on a DB board, we would like to know if you have?

As many of you know, we had a close relationship with the company and a personal relationship with the owners. On top of that, I was a manager / part owner of the company as well.

We have kept silent on the issue, for personal reasons, but now it has been made public.

On May 30, 2011, Christopher D. Northam was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds inside the Skim X building in Roseville,CA. Since then, an 8 month investigation has led police and FBI agents to execute several search warrants, wire taps and confiscation of financial records.

After examining evidence confiscated, investigators have come to the conclusion that Chris Northam Jr., Co-owner and son of Northam Sr., is believed to have killed his father for financial gain.

Tuesday afternoon, Roseville PD arrested Northam Jr. as well as his ex-fiancee, Averil Easly  in connection with the murder.

Our thoughts and sympathy go out to Codi Northam and the rest of the Northam family.

Please remember, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. We ask that you respect the family members and those involved until the trail ends.

Is it just us, or are the guys over in Germany pushing it this year? We’re only through the first month of 2012 and already we’ve seen the guys over at InlandSkimGermany throw the best indoor skim jam (to date), add that to two, well editing videos dropped by German groms Friedrich Fluh and Daniel Prieb = keeping the neighborhood stoked.

InlandSkimGermany Presents: Boot Düsseldorf 2012

For the second year in a row, the guys at ISG put on the best indoor skim jam the industry has seen. Exposing the sport to countless people by holding the event at one of the countries biggest trade shows; Boot Dusseldorf.

We were happy to see another great turnout of both riders and spectators.

Congratulations go out to DB Skimboards Team Rider Adrien Raza for taking home 1st place for the 2nd year in a row, as well as, Friedrich Fluh and Benjamin Nagel for their 2nd and 3rd place finishes.
