Is it just us, or are the guys over in Germany pushing it this year? We’re only through the first month of 2012 and already we’ve seen the guys over at InlandSkimGermany throw the best indoor skim jam (to date), add that to two, well editing videos dropped by German groms Friedrich Fluh and Daniel Prieb = keeping the neighborhood stoked.

InlandSkimGermany Presents: Boot Düsseldorf 2012

For the second year in a row, the guys at ISG put on the best indoor skim jam the industry has seen. Exposing the sport to countless people by holding the event at one of the countries biggest trade shows; Boot Dusseldorf.

We were happy to see another great turnout of both riders and spectators.

Congratulations go out to DB Skimboards Team Rider Adrien Raza for taking home 1st place for the 2nd year in a row, as well as, Friedrich Fluh and Benjamin Nagel for their 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

We hadn’t heard of him until he placed 4th this past weekend in the Dussuldorf Skim Jam, and then he dropped this rad 4mintue edit of him throwing plenty of bangers to go along with the very well done edit.

It’s been a while since we’ve been able to post anything on the website.

Brent and has been having computer troubles and I recently moved and do not have internet connection set-up yet.

Yet, somewhere in between working 2 jobs, going to school and trying to balance a (on and off) girlfriend; I have found time to devote to finally finishing ItemNumberNine. We are currently 30minutes into the video and are hoping to have it completed and ready for viewing just in time for Christmas.

Be on the look out for interviews, screen shots and excerpts from the video as we approach the release date in the coming weeks.

This week also marks a special birthday for the crew here in Sacramento. Flatland godfather, Lon Porteus, hits the 40 year milestone.

We just want to thank Lon for everything he has done, and continues to do for the sport. Tomorrow night we will be celebrating at a club in downtown Sacramento, if you know how we celebrate, please pray(if you’re into that type of thing) for our well being.

Kyda Creations

Since there launch, the boys over at Kyda Creations have done nothing but pump out rad gear and awesome edits to keep you kiddies stoked day in and day out.

There most recent edit, “Chill River”, was filmed at the rugged location on a section of the Squamish River in Western Canada. After you peep the edit, head to their website and purchase there full length DVD “Insufficient Funds” or a rad Tshirt to rock on your next date.

The skimming aspect starts at 1minute and stretches all the way to 5minutes. The whole 4minute skim section is filled with TONS of bangers for your enjoyment.

The 3-shuv on revert out of the flat box as well as the pop-shuv grab on and the numerous shuv on shuv off combos caught our attention. And who doesn’t enjoy some good cliff jumping?

Tim Ladner’s newest edit was filmed throughout the month of July in locations throughout the NorthWest including: Tacoma,WA Squamish,BC Boundary Bay,BC Balmer’s, and Spanish Banks featuring Kyda Team Riders: Dane Clark, Trevor Stine, Kyle Lynch and Tim Ladner.

Like every Kyda edit, this one is packed with top-quality flatland riding as well as tech rail tricks.

Lynch’s 5-6 trick tech section and Ladner’s last three bangers off the launch ramp and up rail are just a few of the highlights. Peep in for yourself.

Adrien traveled to France where he managed to land just about every one foot combination possible. Big Spin to one foot, Check. 5shuv to one foot, Check. And the list goes on.

Aside from the tech, Adrien also throws some lofty tricks in the video. The rather large shuv over the bushes and the poppy 5shuv’s caught our eye.

The edit features some local B.C. groms, Ryan Brinkman and Landon Sawatzky riding some fun set-ups. The guys look like they’re having a good time and pushing the movement in their area.

The shuv-on shuv-off of the flat box around 2:00minutes in the video is pretty rad, and like most B.C. videos, the scenery itself is worth the look. We look forward to the full length mini-movie guys.

It features bangers from riders like Addison, Lexi Hutchings, Blake Zimmerman as well as tons of St.Georgo Utah locals like Dillon, Thomas, Cameron, Greg, Matt, Weston, Austin, Harbor, Duran, T.J., Chase, Cody, Kaitlyn, and Keric.

The seven minute edit starts with a half skim half puppet show going on, not to sure about the puppet part, but the riding is dope and it only gets better in the second half of the video.

I mean, just watch Blake’s 180 butter to switch ollie-on backside boardslide to 270-shuv out.. Killing it.

The whole video is loaded with ton’s of different unique tricks, the kids in St. George are definitely on the come-up. Keep a lookout.

The video shows that the contest had a huge turnout in both the crowd and rider sections. Riders from Washington, Canada and Utah traveled to show their stuff.

The last minute of the video is full of bangers, especially the last parts where Isaac Thomas and Blake Zimmerman are throwing bangers from the launch ramp to the corregated down pipe.

Fncy Fair Skimboards, a popular board company in Poland, welcomes new team rider, Mariusza Wójta, in this video edit they just released. Pretty rad video with some good camera work and good angles. Congrats, Mariusza, we look forward to more edits like this.

Utah Comp Edit

Local St.George rider, Dillon Manwaring, sent us this video he put together of the 2011 Virgin River Classic. It features riding from Lexi Hutchings, Blake Zimmerman, Emile Panerio, Addision Foote, Jason Rodjanapanyakul along with some of the local St. George riders.

Check out the video and make sure you look for Blake’s 540 shuv onto the flat box and Emile’s 540shuv over the up-down-flat kink. Good edit Dillon, thanks for sharing.
